I (Karen) am responsible for maintaining this website. Jennie is my consultant. I have a masters degree in counseling. Jennie has an associates degree in human science and has earned certificates relating to her degree. We both are retired social workers. Jennie worked in the poverty program and I worked with foster children. We both were raised by Christian, church going parents. We do however have our share of family problems just like everyone else. Neither one of us have been to seminary, which we consider good. I took a few classes online but I couldn't believe all the schools basic teachings.
We at MyGodSpeaks teach Bible study and we also hold services. Jennie teaches both sessions. I am her consultant. Our ministry is called Voice in the Desert. We obtained a nonprofit status with the state as a religious charitable organization. This allows us to be flexible in our programs and all donations are tax deductible. Membership is not required. We live in Victorville, California, which is in the desert about 50 miles north east of L.A.
We are not a church nor are we affiliated with any church. Our creed, however, may sound like one church or another. This is bound to happen.
